Not truly a comic book, Screen Monsters is actually a series that narrates the history of movie monsters in illustrated prose form. Readers could learn the inside information behind some of history’s most popular monster movies, as well as browsing filmographies of their favorite monsters.

In 1944 and 1945, for instance, the movie industry was busily trying to include as many monsters into each film as possible. Things got a bit crowded in films like “The House of Dracula,” and “The House of Frankenstein,” where Boris Karloff starred as the owner of a sideshow that included Dracula, the Frankenstein monster, Wolfman, and a hunchback.
