Gunsmith Cats: The Return of Gray

This seven issue mini-series follows the adventures of Kenichi Sonoda’s Gunsmith Cats—two young female sales clerks at a gun shop who moonlight as crimefighters, taking on some of the nastier elements of Japan’s criminal underworld. The text is translated from the Japanese (by Dana Lewis and Toren Smith) and the black-and-white manga artwork dwells heavily on guns, angry expressions, and young girls in underwear, not necessarily in that order. The “Cats” walk the usual manga line between cute schoolgirls and tough martial arts experts.
