Tales Calculated to Drive You Mad

Mad magazine has been around since the 1950s, but most of its readership hasn’t. Not to worry (I’ll refrain from the famous Alfred E. Neuman line)—the classic strips from decades past can live on and find a new audience, in this series that reprints a collection of those time-lost tales. Typical buffoonery includes spoofs of cartoons and comics like “Superman” and “Gasoline Alley”; “Ripley’s, Believe It Or Not!” parodies; and goofy adaptation of popular films. Art includes classic work from well-known creators like Wally Wood and Bill Elder.

Published quarterly in magazine format, and in full-color too, by E.C. Publications. The series also features a narrative history of the magazine that brought smiles to generations.
