The Mask Conspiracy

An international plot involving the mythical Minotaur, an ancient hypnotic mask, and the mysterious theft of garbage worldwide. Can famed reporter/adventurer Terry Freedom, armed only with his golden yo-yo, stop this terrible scheme in time to save the world? Will the Amazonian Penelope’s strength be enough to save her father? Who is that newsboy, and why does he keep popping up? The clock is ticking as Terry and his friends race to connect the pieces in this baffling puzzle.

This black-and-white graphic novel, with art reminiscent of Popeye, is a whimsical look at world politics, but also provides a strong environmental lesson. The backup strip stars Big Lou, the Man To Blame Everything On (including, it seems, putting the blame on others). Only one man seems immune to Lou’s machinations: the cantankerous Cornelius Apgar.
