(Chaos, 1995, 2006)

Having reached new heights of popularity with the Lady Death mini-series, the Mistress of Hell returned in 1995 for another four-issue mini-series. Lady Death II: Between Heaven & Hell, finds her the undisputed ruler of the netherworld. This was a long fall from grace for a girl who was once the very picture of innocence—until her evil father Matthias caused her to be burned at the stake. Arriving in Hell, she eventually came to battle both her father and Lucifer for control. She eventually won, but the battle turned her into what she herself despised.
Now, the only thing that she holds onto is the idea that once she was someone good. Suddenly, however, Lady Death begins remembering her own innocent life in a darker, more evil way. Was she really ever innocent? Or was she always the tainted creature she is now?
