The Futurama/Simpsons Infinitely Secret Crossover Crisis
(Bongo, 2002)
™ and © Bongo
How in the world could The Simpsons crossover with Futurama? One is set in an all-too-ordinary town, the other in the distant future. Rather than settle for time travel, this miniseries relies on a wild storyline in which the powerful Brain Spawn, an evil villain of the future, hatches a scheme to seal all reading material in diamond and render the populace ignorant. Through a mishap, the cast of Futurama -- including Bender, Nibbler, Fry, and Professor Farnsworth -- gets sealed into a comic book starring the Simpsons (since in this world, they're comic book characters), and before you know it, Hermes is working for Mr. Burns, Bender is bunking over at Ned Flanders' place, and Leela and Lisa are bonding. In short, it's a totally unlikely, bizarre, and satisfyingly ridiculous merging of the two shows into one comic book.
Written and drawn by some pretty funny people, Matt Groening’s animated characters are true to their television roots in this title.
