Courtship of Eddie’s Father
(Dell, 1970)
™ and © Dell Publishing Co.
The Courtship of Eddie’s Father was a feature film from 1963 starring Glenn Ford and a very young Ron Howard. The movie inspired the 1969-1972 television series starring Bill Bixby and Brandon Cruz from which this comic book is based. Initially, the series focused on Tom’s attempts to land a new wife, but after awhile it developed into a series that focused more on the single-parent relationship of Tom and his son. A pleasant situation comedy with elements of drama that translated well to the comic book form.
