The Sinister House of Secret Love was a refreshing change from the run-of-the-mill comic book romance title. Each issue contained a single Gothic mystery/romance story, often set in exotic locales. Since this title was published in a giant-size, 52-page format, the writers had time to develop the characters. Just as importantly, the stories avoided the endless clichés that plague similar romance titles. While this didn’t make The Sinister House of Secret Love a brilliant title, it certainly made it better than most.

After four issues, this title changed its name to Secrets of Sinister House.
