Hellhound: The Redemption Quest

John Roberts was a bluesman who had made a deal with the devil. In return for his immortal soul, he was given the gift of music. For a while, he was a bright shining star. In 1938, however, he died and it came time to pay the price. Ever since then he has served Satan as a hellhound, a harvester of lost souls.

In his latest mission, he has been sent to New Orleans to claim the soul of a woman called Marie Laveau. Laveau, who claimed to be the reincarnation of an old voodoo queen, had been using her powers to heal the sick. She went too far, however, when she raised a man from the dead. For the sin of blasphemy, she was to be condemned to Hell. “After all, the balance must be maintained.”

So Roberts set out on his quest, accompanied by fellow lost soul Billy the Kid. But on the way to kill Laveau, Roberts met an angel who spoke of the chance for redemption…
