This black-and-white Australian series features the globe-trotting adventures of a costumed air fighter and spy whose alter ego is that of a wealthy socialite who lives in a stylish, uptown penthouse. Taking on racketeers and jetting off to exotic foreign lands, Jet Fury certainly seems to owe a debt to such American series as “Terry and the Pirates” and “Steve Canyon.” However, both the stories and the artwork lack the complexity of Milton Caniff’s work, leaving Jet Fury as something of a poor relative.
