Marvel Spotlight: Joss Whedon/Michael Lark

    (Marvel, 2006)
™ and © Marvel Characters, Inc.

The first two Marvel Spotlight titles were used to introduce new characters like Ghost Rider and Spider-Woman, or to renew interest in established characters such as Captain Marvel. In this latest incarnation, Marvel shines the spotlight on the history-making creators behind the characters.

This third installment of the new format focuses on Michael Lark, an Eisner-award winner for his work on DC’s Gotham Central, and the latest artist to draw Daredevil. Included in the interview is his “co-star”, writer Ed Brubaker.

Also up is Joss Whedon, the pop-culture icon behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Whedon, who also wrote the screenplay for the animated hit Titan A.E., is making the Astonishing X-Men more popular than ever.

Besides interviews with both creators, the issue includes highlights of their careers, script samples, and hints at future projects. Featured throughout are story excerpts from their comics.
