Appearing first in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Meet the Conservation Corps, the Conservation Corps is a team of do-gooders who have dedicated their super-heroic lives to the preservation of the environment! They are the Stone Hedgehog, England’s master of earth and rock; Water Buffalo, North America’s lord of the oceans, lakes, rivers, and streams; Firefly, South America’s commander of heat and fire; and Greenhorn, Africa’s ruler of flora and fauna. Sure, the concept’s a wee bit hokey, but this is a fun group. And, hey, the kids can learn about the importance of protecting the environment for future generations—not a bad thing at all.
