The Forever People

    (DC, 1971-1972, 1999)
™ and ©1971 DC Comics, Inc.

When the old gods were gone, new gods appeared. They created two different worlds: the peaceful New Genesis, and the warlike Apokolips. The people of Apokolips seemed bent on destruction, and with their malevolent ruler Darkseid, they have made it their quest to destroy New Genesis.

The Forever People are a group of gods on New Genesis who strive to stop Darkseid and his machinations. Their mighty powers are aided by the Mother Box (a powerful computer and communications device) and the Super Cycle, which lets them teleport across vast spaces instantly.

This series was part of a grand vision by creator Jack Kirby. With The New Gods, Mister Miracle, The Forever People and various other titles, he created a whole new mythology and a story that spanned the stars.
