Liberty Meadows is an animal sanctuary inhabited by neurotic animals and stewarded by idiosyncratic management. Frank Cho details the inspiration behind his quirky comic confection with wry commentary and character profiles. We learn things, like that Leslie the hypochondriac bullfrog was originally a talking lima bean, and Brandy’s mom Barbara was envisioned as Martha Stewart on steroids. This Sourcebook is printed in black and white on 48 pages in landscape format and serves as both an introduction for newbies and a handbook for the already converted. Several strips never reprinted after the first newspaper publication are included, as well as a trivia sheet.
