DC Silver Age Classics House of Secrets

In 1992, DC Comics reprinted key issues of several of their Silver Age titles. Titles include The Brave and the Bold #28—the first appearance of the Justice League of America—and this, the first appearance of the Swamp Thing from House of Secrets #92 by Len Wein (Blue Beetle) and Berni Wrightson (Batman/Aliens). This version isn’t quite the sad, shambling muck-monster that carried his own DC and Vertigo titles in the 1970s and 1980s, but he is the prototype for Alec Holland, the scientist-turned-swamp-creature. Other horrific tales feature the work of Mark Evanier (DNAgents), Bill Draut (Teen Titans), and Dick Dillin (Blackhawk).
