Following up on their popular adaptation of 20th Century’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the Angel mini-series, Dark Horse brings us the further adventures of Angel, based on the Angel television series. This series keeps the characters from the show and tries to maintain continuity by letting the reader know where in the broadcast programs the current story takes place. Thus the book began in the first season with the unflappable Cordelia and the brooding half-demon Doyle joining Sunnydale’s only vampire with a soul as he cruises the streets of Los Angeles by night, helping those who are oppressed by the forces of darkness any way he can. Viewers of the television programs will be happy with the characterizations that have carried so well over to the comic format.
