H.R. Pufnstuf

One of the many Sid and Marty Krofft successes of the early 70s. The title character was a tall seven foot dragon character. Though some have speculated that Puffnstuf’s name was drug-related (H.R. meaning “Hash Reefer”), the Krofft brothers always denied that this was the case. A young lad named Jimmy set sail in a small boat which capsized and he was rescued by the dragon before he was captured by the evil but inept Witchiepoo. The comic series follows suit and has a fine assortment of quality color photographs gracing each issue’s cover.
