This one-shot combines several of the other Tangent Comics characters into a new team, in response to the threat of Dr. Aquadis. Aquadis, it seems, was a scientist who was transformed into a creature of sentient water due to a lab accident gone wrong. His wildly implausible plan was now to become master of all the Earth’s water—something he chose to accomplish by getting rid of the influence of the moon by obliterating it.

An ad hoc team of The Joker, The Atom, The Flash, Manhunter, The Spectre, and Plastic Man (all Tangent versions of their better-known selves) assembled to do battle with Dr. Aquadis. Afterward, they decided to form a more permanent (though covert) team, called…the Hidden Half-Dozen! (No, actually that was just Joker’s idea).
