Billy Tucci’s captivating martial arts character, Shi, has appeared in a myriad of titles and time periods. This book finds Shi in Japan in the year 1639, on a mission to find and kill an immortal that has brought great evil in to the world. An old woman that requires this task of Tora No Shi has promised her passage to Europe in return, but the old woman seems less than trustworthy. When Shi finds her target, her doubts prevent a clean, uncomplicated kill. During their encounter, the immortal reveals that she has indeed released evil into the world. She is the Pandora of myth whose curiosity freed the ills that plague mankind from the box in which Zeus imprisoned them. Shi is moved by Pandora’s desire to atone for her weakness and an alliance is formed.

The incredibly detailed art of Juan Jose Ryp is the best incentive to pick up this title which is a fine balance of good girl art and exciting fight sequences.
