Scarlet Spider Unlimited

    (Marvel, 1995)
™ and ©1995 Marvel Entertainment Group

Ever since the epic clone saga of 1995, the Scarlet Spider has been given more and more attention. When the storylines called for Peter Parker to relinquish the role of Spider-Man, Marvel responded by restarting all the various Spider-Man titles at #1 and substituting “Scarlet Spider” for “Spider-Man” in the title.

Scarlet Spider Unlimited is essentially a reworking of the deluxe-format Spider-Man Unlimited. The difference is that the title seems to be a fresh change of pace. Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man, has left town and left Reilly as the lone spider-hero in New York. In his first adventure, the Scarlet Spider is reintroduced to the third spider-clone. Kaine, once thought dead, has been kept in frozen animation by a warped scientist. When he is set free, all that Reilly can look forward to is one heck of a lot of trouble.
