Twister

    (Harris, 1992)
™ and ©1992 James B. Hudnall and Bill Koeb

L.A. has never had it so tough. A killer named Smilin’ Red has been murdering whole families in a singularly gruesome manner. First he kills them, then he sucks out their blood through a crazy straw. Sometimes, he kills them…secondly. His trademark is a red “smiley” face he draws at the crime scene in the victim’s blood.

Killers like Red have learned to laugh at the police. But now there’s someone they’re not laughing at. He’s called Twister, and he’s a serial murderer of serial murderers.

From the Hillside Strangler to Charles Manson, Hannibal Lecter to Jack the Ripper…serial killers have long held a dark fascination for us, both in real life and in fiction. Twister plays brilliantly on the dread allure, giving us not only some of the weirdest, most frightening killers of all time, but also providing us with an equally chilling avenger.
