In the early ‘90s, Rob Liefeld published a team super-hero book at Image called Brigade. In 2000, he tried the same concept again at his new company, Awesome.
This time Liefeld serves as publisher only, with Lary Stucker and Deitrich Smith as the creative team. Members of the team include Badrock, that indestructible monster from Youngblood; Kid Supreme; Fighting American; and Dash, a super-fast heroine.

Brigade is mostly made up of heroes already affiliated with other teams. The team was brought together in order to protect Spice, a young female cyborg framed by her evil doppelganger for murder.
