Felix the Cat’s TV Extravaganza

    (Felix, 2002)
™ and © Felix

Felix is back, and the whole gang joins him. The Professor, Poindexter, Master Cylinder, and the rest join the famous cat in a series of TV parodies.

The material is an odd selection for kids, since it includes parodies of I Love Lucy, 60 Minutes, The Days of Our Lives, and other shows that children presumably do not watch (or are before their time). Parents will, no doubt, appreciate the gags, but old-timers who remember Felix from their childhoods would probably have preferred to see him reach into his bag of tricks. Even if they don’t get all the references, the plots are easy enough for children to follow. Younger readers will lose little due to lack of familiarity with the source material.

Additional features include puzzle pages, as well as fan art. The stories are aimed at kids but with enough to keep parents’ attention. This is a kid-friendly comic book that parents and their children can enjoy together.
