Liar Comics’ latest mini-series returns to a time when witches were believed to be sources of evil. The Witchfinder is a historical figure mentioned in Irish legends and was introduced as a supporting character in the More Than Mortal series. The story occurs after a witch has murdered Morand’s twin, Tomas. Distraught over his failure to protect his brother, Morand and the fanatical Matthew Hopkins restlessly roam the Irish countryside searching for witches. However, the uneasy partnership dissolves when Hopkins‚ directs his religious venom against a seemingly innocent child. Morand is reluctantly drawn into an emotional maelstrom as he considers Hopkins reprehensible actions bordering on the edge of madness during this unseemly event. He senses a grave injustice will occur unless he fights for the child’s life. Through a twist of fate, Morand is accused of witchcraft and the hunter has become the hunted. The chase begins anew!
