Silver Age: The Brave and the Bold

Once upon a time, the original Brave and the Bold was a treasure-trove of super-heroics, introducing the world to the Justice League of America, and hosting Batman in hundreds of team-ups with virtually every other character in the DC universe. In DC’s Silver Age crossover event, the title is revived as a one-shot, featuring a classic pairing of Batman and the Metal Men, as they face off against members of the Injustice League. But little do the Metal Men realize that the Caped Crusader is not who he appears to be, and the villains he is fighting are none other than Green Arrow and Black Canary, whose minds are trapped in the bodies of the villains! It’s Silver Age flavored pandemonium, delivered by none other than writer Bob Haney (veteran scribe of the original B&B) and artist Kevin Maguire (Justice League). The icing on the cake? A cover penciled by Jim Aparo, who drew so many of the Batman team-ups from the original title’s run.
