This 4-issue mini-series features two stories, each with their own vision of the future. The title story begins with the colonization of Walden-3, a supposedly uninhabited planet. But there are indeed sentient natives, and soon racism, fear, and greed leads to a conflict that ultimately destroys both civilizations. Only two people survive, an eccentric young colonist who dreams of adventure and glory; and a half-breed native, sworn to avenge the deaths of his entire race. This quest will test the limits of their friendship as they journey across the galaxy. But they do not realize that the tragedy of Walden-3 was planned, and they are merely pawns in an ancient battle for possession of a mystic artifact known only as The Eye.

In “Ishtra,” a schizophrenic young socialite with powerful psychic powers turns the tables on her kidnapers, gaining vengeance and becoming their leader in one swift stroke.
