Bruce Banner, the Hulk, goes on a cross-country journey to find the survivors of the Wright-Armstrong super-soldiers experiments that had given Steve Rogers his extraordinary strength as Captain America. Nicknamed the Nightmericans, the survivors are being hunted down by the company. Chrissie Cutler, who was raised with the Nightmericans, seeks the assistance of Banner in locating them. Like Banner, Cutler is also a fugitive on the run; in her he finds a kindred spirit with dark secrets of her own. Brian Ashmore’s painted illustrations vividly capture America’s eclectic landscapes.
