Moon Knight (3rd Series)

When we last saw Moon Knight, the earthly representative of the Egyptian moon god, Khonshu, he was apparently killed in an explosion. As this mini-series begins, a magnificent statue of Set, the Egyptian god of death, is discovered in a previously unexplored tomb. The archeologist who uncovers this eerily realistic representation is soon mysteriously killed. Meanwhile, Marc Spector (Moon Knight) is reliving encounters with friends and foes in an ethereal dreamscape culminating with an audience with Khonshu himself. Khonshu informs Spector that an ancient war has been renewed, and his service is again required. Then a statue of Khonshu in Steven Grant’s (one of Moon Knight’s identities) mansion explodes and Spector tumbles out of it before the startled eyes of his grieving friends, Marlene and Frenchie.

Counting Marc Spector: Moon Knight, this is the fourth title starring this enduring character.
