Blending the two worlds of fantasy and science fiction into one visually stunning package, The Red Star is a comic book like no other. Presented as a flashback, the story follows the aftermath that ensues with the collapse of the Red Fleet—a Soviet like military power—at the hands of the evil sorcerer Imbohl. Even its futuristic crafts and weaponry—powered by the Warkasters, a class of military sorcerers—is no match for this master of the dark arts. Set against this turmoil is the all too human story of Maya Antare—a Sorceress Major and member of the Warkaster—who is struggling to find her husband, Marcus, allegedly lost while leading a frontal assault against the enemy. Even now, nearly nine years later, the heroine refuses to accept the loss of her husband on the battlefield.
