Graphic Nonfiction: Julius Caesar

    (Rosen, 2005)
™ and © Rosen

Similar in style and intent as the old Classics Illustrated series, this Graphic Nonfiction graphic novel is designed to encapsulate the life of Julius Caesar. A few pages of text with photos and maps round out the proceedings. As with other titles in this series, it’s all supposed to be factual and of course it is based on historical documents but it is somewhat sanitized for scholastic purposes. The possibility also exists that Shakespeare had an influence. Fortunately, the bibliography directs the reader where to do more research.
