First Adventures was a short-lived anthology “sampler” comic from First Comics. First used it as a spotlight for their various characters, beginning the series with stories featuring the armored Dynamo Joe, sexy Ninja Whisper, and the comically bizarre Blaze Barlow and the Eternity Command.

First Comics was well-known throughout the mid-1980s for its innovative creative teams. Steven Grant, Rich Larson, Willie Schubert, Wendy Fiore, and Mike Gold worked on the Whisper storyline. Blaze Arrow was handled by Peter B. Gillis, Barry Crain, Willie Schubert, Tom Littleman, and Rick Oliver. The people responsible for Dynamo Joe were John Ostrander, Doug Rice, Brian Thomas, Willie Schubert, Rick Taylor, and Rick Oliver.
