Marvel Versus DC/DC Versus Marvel

    (Marvel-DC, 1996)
™ and ©1996 DC Comics and Marvel Characters, Inc.

In early 1996, the two largest publishers of comic books decided to team up to produce an epic storyline in which characters from one publisher would fight characters from the other. Fans have always wondered who would win if, for example, Superman battled the Hulk, or if Namor fought against Aquaman. The outcome of these battles were decided solely by fan votes.

In the midst of the series, the Marvel and DC universes actually merge, creating an “Amalgam” universe. Here, the world is populated by super-hero hybrids such as Spider-Boy, Speed Demon, Doctor Strangefate, Super Soldier, and Bruce Wayne: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
