Morlocks

Morlocks are the ugly flip side of the X-Men; they are mutants who live underground, namely sewers. The Morlocks in this four-issue series are not to be confused with the New York outcasts that have appeared in X-Men titles. This is a different group of grotesque rejects, hiding beneath the Chicago streets. Writer Geoff Johns humanizes the bizarre creatures, revealing that, despite their outré appearances and extraordinary abilities, they aren’t different from everybody else. Even the Morlocks see that as well, finding a kindred spirit in a small-time criminal.
