Sentry/Spider-Man

™ and ©2001 Marvel Characters, Inc.

The legendary hero Sentry vanished years ago, along with all evidence and memory of his existence. His sudden return retroactively re-inserts the character into Marvel’s continuity. Unfortunately, The Sentry’s greatest enemy—the Void—has also returned, more powerful than ever.

As Marvel’s mightiest heroes await their confrontation with the Void, Spider-Man reflects on the memories he’d forgotten. His life was vastly different from the daily struggle Peter Parker is familiar with. As a result, Spider-Man’s joy at the Sentry’s returns is tainted with resentment for what was lost.

Back when the media and even other heroes considered Spider-Man a threat, Sentry trusted him and chose him to be the first and only person to clearly photograph the world’s greatest hero. That photo made Peter Parker an overnight celebrity, bringing fame, success and wealth. But the spotlight vanished with the Sentry, thrusting Peter back into obscurity, and making Spider-Man a “public menace” once again.
