Aliens land on Earth. To remain free, a random contestant will face off with the alien champion in their national sport—tag. Unfortunately, they chose Ataru Moroboshi, the unluckiest, most lecherous, lout in Japan. He agrees when he sees the beautiful Lum, but finds out too late that she can fly. Astonishingly, he wins!

When Lum misinterprets his victory cry, she moves in as his fiancée and enforces his monogamy with her powerful electric zap. What’s a guy to do?

This is the zaniest of Rumiko Takahashi’s works. The whole series is full of puns that the translators do their best to make work in English. She has also written Ranma 1/2, Mermaid Forest, and Maison Ikkoku.
