Legend of Lemnear

Legend of Lemnear was originally published in Japan, and was brought to the U.S. by CPM Manga. The series was created by artist Satoshi Urushihara (known also for his work on Midnight Panther and Chirality), working with writer Kinji Yoshimoto.

In the story, the gods had grown tired of mankind’s constant battles amongst itself. To foil man, they created evil—first a force within man, but later as a personified force in itself. The plan was to force mankind to unite against the common foe—rising over petty squabbles to something greater. Instead, a good proportion of mankind decided to serve this new “animate evil.” Rather embarrassed by this little turn of events, the gods then appointed knights of valor (such as the heroine Lemnear) to fight off the forces of evil.

A good adventure series, Legend of Lemnear is marred somewhat by rather pointless nudity and groping.
