Go-Man!

Go-Man is set in the distant future. This is a cyberpunk series about a place called Hyper City. The people of this city are either very wealthy or destitute—there doesn’t seem to be any in-between. The entire city is run by an organization called the Neuherz Foundation.

The inhabitants of Hyper City really have only one thing to look forward to: “The Go-Show,” a futuristic variety show starring the Go-Man, an ultra-hip, nicely dressed crimefighter. Not only are there commercials, music, movies, and public service announcements, but viewers get to watch the real-life crimefighting antics of Go-Man. They get to watch some of the meanest, nastiest, heartless criminals in Hyper City get taken down, each and every show.

This decidedly cool, black-and-white series started in 1989, following up on Go-Man’s appearances in Nerve.
