Upstart Image Comics has definitely become a phenomenon in the comics industry. Featuring top artists like Rob Liefeld, Whilce Portacio, Jim Lee, and Erik Larsen, the company has gained quite a name for itself in a very short while.

However, not all the publicity has been favorable. Suddenly, a slew of spoof comics has appeared that lampoon the various Image titles. Now, “Idjit” comics presents a spoof on the Image artists themselves. Called “WildB.R.A.T.s” (a takeoff on Jim Lee’s WildC.A.T.s— except here, the initials stand for “Bad Redundant Art Teams”), it’s a hilarious jab at an easily named group of prima donna artists who pursue stardom and megabucks while stretching the simplest story elements into over-illustrated novellas. Whether you’re an Image Comics admirer or a critic, you shouldn’t miss WildB.R.A.T.s.
