Nightwolf

    (Entropy, 1987)
™ and ©1987 Peter Krause

Nightwolf began as a feature in Entropy Tales and proved popular enough to receive his own black-and-white title with the talented Peter Krause (The Power of Shazam!) at the creative helm. Our hero is something of a Batman retread with some supernatural underpinnings. Now a successful artist, Paul Hund—Nightwolf’s true identity—grew up in the crime-ridden Lowertown section of a big city and saw his friends and his family become victims of the criminals who preyed on the innocent. Paul’s family left Lowertown, taking refuge in suburbia, but Paul returned to the city after college, began a lucrative career, acquired an ancient mask, and was transformed into Nightwolf—flashy costume, super-strength, heightened senses, the whole super-hero enchilada! Good stuff, if somewhat derivative.
