Although they already were publishing the long established Four Color series, Dell added to their line by publishing the Comic Album series. Instead of using the title as a test market to see if a character could sustain a series, this one featured Dell’s already established comic book characters such as Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, and The Three Stooges. The idea was far less successful as fans of these characters were content in purchasing their long-running series of their own titles, rather than a one-shot and as such, Comic Album only lasted four years.
