Spinning out of the Tenth Muse, Judo Girl follows the adventures of the titular character, a groovy, mod, and very talkative super-heroine from the 1960s somehow placed in suspended animation. Reawakened in the 21st century, she’s on the lookout for her missing brother Judo Boy and kicking bad guy butt. As a cute gimmick, flip the book over to find a retro tale of the Judo Twins complete with old-style stippled colors. Appropriate for a book with judo in its name, the art appears to have a dynamic, manga influence similar to artists like Joe Madureira.
