Read right to left; black and white series.
Cute, young Rin Amami sure can dance, but you better cover your ears and run when he opens his mouth to speak or, heaven forbid, sing. The sound that comes out gives this manga its title, and threatens Rin with a lifetime of disappointment and dashed dreams—until a chance encounter with a hot, up–and–coming boy band known as the Beat Men affords Rin the opportunity of a lifetime.
Apparently against all sense and reason, the Beat Men’s lead singer Shino takes an interest in Rin and encourages him to pursue his dreams of fame and stardom—even going so far as to offer Rin a job as a back–up dancer for the Beat Men. Calamity ensues when Rin opens his mouth onstage to join the Beat Men during the chorus of their smash hit “House of Shock.” To make matters worse, the whole thing gets broadcast on television. Undaunted, the Beat Men weather on with Rin at their side and fame steadily receding on the horizon.
Expertly drawn by Yuriko Nishiyama (Ellie’s Mysterious Time Travel, Harlem Beat), this 11–volume series features tight dance moves and uncommonly fabulous hair, even for manga.
