Ishmael, a man who cannot remember his real name, or anything else about his life, finds himself cast into the crucible of gladiatorial combat. Here he is forged into a weapon against whom no opponent can stand. He finds himself famous in this barbaric future land called Xanadoo. His success in the arena brings him to the attention of a mysterious businessman named Max who takes him out of the arena and puts him to work. Max’s girlfriend seems to take quite a fancy to Ishmael….or is it just something from Ishmael’s past trying to resurface?

This enigmatic pulp tale is the brainchild of Jamie Delano (Hellblazer, Ghostdancing) and David Lloyd (V for Vendetta).
