Captain Thunder and Blue Bolt (Vol. 2)

™ and ©1992 Heroic Publishing, Inc.

After a brief hiatus from the comic book racks, Captain Thunder and Blue Bolt return in a brand new series that picks up just where the original left off. Now published as a black and white book, Hero Graphics focuses on bringing the character’s original storyline—one that was started years earlier—to a close and hopes to take its creations into new and uncharted territories.

The focus of this second Captain Thunder and Blue Bolt volume is on the heroes’ quest to bring an end to the super-powered terrorist organization known as the Merchants of Menace. Framed by the organization for a murder he did not commit, Captain Thunder is determined to bring about the group’s demise. His son, Blue Bolt, has his own reasons for tackling the villains—reasons centered around his lost childhood and the destruction of his father’s life.

Eloquently drawn and beautifully written, this book is as close to a real-life super-hero drama as comicdom can get, rivaling even the early works of Jack Kirby and Stan Lee.
