Dr. Mary Sullivan had a new patient in the rubber-room section of the hospital. Her name is Heather Adams, and she is a multiple personality disorder patient who, as “Johnny,” had coldly murdered both her parents. This was her way of dealing with the sexual abuse she had been suffering at the hands of her father.

Since then, she has retreated inside her own mind, which now seems to house a menagerie of personalities, both male and female. They live inside Heather, practicing a sort of black magic of their own in order to maintain their imaginary existences. Meanwhile, in the real world, Heather has spent the past seven years often wearing straitjackets in padded cells. With Dr. Sullivan’s intervention, she managed to reassert her own personality. But the other personalities—including the homicidal “Johnny”— have hatched plans for asserting their existence in the physical world…
