Sort of a modern take on DC’s New Talent Showcase from the mid–80s, this new title from Marvel is entrenched firmly in the X-Men universe. X–Men Unlimited is a place for new writers and artists to show their stuff in short stories on Marvel’s most popular mutants. Featuring new renditions of both the well–known and unknown mutants that populate the Marvel Universe, the title includes stories about Wolverine, Nightcrawler, the New Mutants and more. Teaming new talent with veterans makes this an interesting experience for both the avid X fan and newcomers to the fold. As an extra bonus, the first issue is wrapped in a gorgeous Pat Lee cover (Dark Minds, Transformers, Superman/Batman.)
