Wrath of the Spectre

™ and ©1973, 1974, 1988 DC Comics, Inc.

This mini-series reprints some of the more interesting Spectre stories from Adventure Comics, beginning with the “Wrath of the Spectre” storyline from Adventure Comics #431. Those stories, featuring art by Jim Aparo and scripts by Michael Fleisher, were a high point of the ghostly crusader’s career. They nicely handle the complexity of Jim Corrigan, the former police detective resurrected as a near all-powerful spirit, without turning him into either a trite cliché, or worse, just another super-powered crimefighter.
