Little Max Comics

    (Harvey, 1949-1961)
™ and © Harvey Comic Publications

Little Max originally appeared as a supporting character in the long-running Joe Palooka comic strip and proved popular enough to win his own comic book title after the success of Joe’s comic book. Little Max limped along for many years, but is of particular interest today for hardcore Harvey fans because it features examples of the early Little Dot (here called “Li’l Dot”) in the first issues which had never before published or reprinted stories of the latter-day Little Dot, Little Lotta and Richie Rich in the final issues.
