Obviously, the creators behind this and the other DemonWars comics series are aiming for a particular audience: readers of R.A. Salvatore’s very successful DemonWars novels; but some effort—a text piece inside the front cover—is put forth to bring outsiders up to speed. This five-issue limited series is set on the magical, mysterious world of Corona, where mystical gems drop from the sky every two centuries and demons rise from the darkest recesses to destroy humanity. In this setting, barbarian ranger Andacanavar learns that a friend and fellow ranger has been killed in Behren, and he will avenge this murder if it’s the last thing he does.
