The Return of Megaton Man
(Kitchen Sink, 1988)
™ and ©1988 Don Simpson
As this story begins, Megaton Man has “deflated” his oversized physique, returning to his civilian identity of Trent Phloog. He then moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where he shares a house with three women including Pamela Jointly (whom he secretly loves) and Stella Starlight, the See-Thru Girl (whom he accidentally got pregnant).
But this “idyllic” situation was not to last. The president wants the nuclear-powered super-hero back at work, and he has sent the scurvy Preston Percy to do the convincing with the help of a special hypodermic.
A ridiculous spoof on super-heroes, Don Simpson’s Return of Megaton Man is full of in-jokes, pointing lighthearted jabs at everything from Captain America’s return from the Golden Age, to the way Lois Lane never seems to figure out that Clark Kent is Superman.
